What is Bong Revilla's role in the senate?
We all know he focuses on pressing issues like Hayden Kho's sex videos and Alec Baldwin's family life... but other than that, what has he done since being elected? 10 points to the one that makes me think he's useful.

For his six-year term as a neophyte Senator, the following are the key legislative areas that Senator Ramon Bong Revilla, Jr. focused on:

1. Reviving the Local Movie Industry and bring it out of its dormant state in the last few years;

2. Strengthening the Anti-Piracy Laws and amendments to the Intellectual Property Code and other laws, if necessary;

3. Passing legislation that will expedite the completion of vital infrastructure projects in order to boost the investment climate in the country to attract more foreign direct investments;

4. Providing a framework that will give more powers to the Barangays in order to better respond to the basic needs of the people and support any move for the amendment of the Local Governn1ent Code of 1991;

5. Initiating moves for the immediate passage of a New Labor Code of the Philippines and support other necessary legislation for the protection of various labor sectors, working locally and abroad;

6. Pinpointing the sites to be declared as protected areas through the amendment of the NIPAS Act;

7. Passing crucial legislation that promotes the welfare of the public school teachers and the students in all levels;

8. Strengthening the programs of government on both formal, non-formal and technical education as well as improving the curriculum of the public school system;

9. Developing better support and incentives for the development and empowerment of the youth sector; and

10. Rationalizing the sports development program of the government to respond to the needs of the athletes, down to the grassroots level, and institutionalizing transparency and proper accountability of sports officials.I'd say that he's much better than either Lito Lapid or even Jamby Madrigal.
